Player Profile Window: Implementation

rio edited this page Oct 3, 2022 · 2 revisions

Implementation

The page is split into two parts: the first part describes how the design and layout of the window was implemented, while the second part describes how the data retrieval and display was implemented to display the player's profile in the window.

Layout

First, a PlayerProfileDisplay.java file was created as a component. In this component, the GUI elements are created and arranged in the planned layout; the player profile window is created. Dummy data was used to create the layout initially (while working on the data storage and retrieval logic).

In MainGameExitDisplay.java, a button to open the player profile window is created, which triggers an event called "playerProfile", defined in MainGameActions.java.
