Agenda

Time line update. Where are we at?

PCBs are so close now.

Order parts for all PCBs

Safety has been forgotten about. Some guidance please.

Notes

There has been a lot of product thinking - less wider research thinking.

PCB budget - We're a little over the price, but that's cool.

Should we consolidate with others on both PCBs and parts.

Safety, can we build some research component:

  • An idea, TTCAN, adds a session layer on top of CAN Bus (Hamilton Jet use this)
  • Research other safety methods.
  • Could aim it for Electronics conf NZ.
  • Could talk about the following a marker system. (Beacon topic)

Similar style as computer vision, but aimed at a different conference.

Should start thinking about what we can write our research topics for our papers.

The previous years attempts were messy, the mechanical platform was not very good. Had a couple of wacky racers.

Absolutely, scope is to build a system for others to build on.

Dave is working on the mount.

Spec feedback

  • Not enough quantitative details (LA travel)
  • How could we measure the brake force required. Not just the max human and max LA forces.
  • What speed micro do you need. Why?
  • What micro peripherals do we need?
  • Might be worth writing specs up on wiki
  • Bib - Need to put all the spec sheets in here.
  • Bib - Web links need a date of access

Of the testing methods, what one do we want to do. Andrew, says do both, compare the output.

As far as marking goes, above average ( thinking A- )

Deliverables

Budget review once the parts have been ordered

Think about the three topics and find a fourth topic
