Overall Rain Design Feedback Summary

  • The feedback received for the current rain design which was created in Sprint 3 was very informative in the recreation of the new design.
  • Improvements were made to the size of the rain droplets, ensuring that they were thinner to give a more accurate representation of real rain drops which respondants suggested for the re-design and satisfied with after the re-design.
  • Additionally, the distribution of the rain droplets was also considered and changed to give a more consistent look in terms of the rainfall compared to the Sprint 3 design, which respondents indicated had unnatural gaps between droplets, making the rain look unrealistic.
  • The colour of the rain was kept pretty similar because most respondents liked the colour from the Sprint 3 design.
  • Most respondents said that the original design hindered their in game experience due to the rain droplets being too big, unevenly distributed and looking like random lines on the screen that distracted them from the game.
  • Most respondents said that the new design enhanced their in game experience because of the significant improvement that made the design look more realisitic and believable, which in turn, provided to be less distracting and more appealing to the eye.
  • Overall, the re-design was successful and effective as it met majority of respondents expectations and enhanced their in game experience.

Summary for this feedback

These feedback results are very helpful for the redesign of lightning.

According to the feedback of the participants, the participants generally reported that the color of the design was too monotonous and the lightning lacked light.

So, to re-design the lightning, it is better to add light to each line of the lightning to make it look more realistic. And change the light and shade of lightning.

Overall Rain Design Feedback Summary

  • According to the statistics of the questionnaire, the vast majority of respondents prefer the new snow design.
  • Only one interviewee mentioned that the current snow design is more like pixel games, but UI design needs to be improved.
  • The reason most respondents like the new snow design is that it looks more realistic and the picture is more detailed.
  • The new snow design model is circular, which makes it more recognizable in the game and helps distinguish between weather.
  • Due to the current shape and size of the snowflake model, it is likely to block other content, making it less effective in the game.
