Title REST really wants to get Published
Level Moderate/Advanced (Extended Talk or Five-In-Five)
Abstract

The "ST" in REST stands for State Transfer, which currently means that the Client makes a request to get State whenever it deems necessary. This is really, really broken because the state of these resources can change in many, many ways. Wouldn't it be great if Clients could instead subscribe to resources they were interested in and get events when they change?
