After about one and a half years I present to you, the Hurtful Pack r2 which consists of many smaller datapacks aiming to make every Minecrafters life a lot harder!

...a datapack pack?

The evolution from release 1 to release 2 is so big, that its progress could only be put into perspective by comparing
the amount of .mcfunction files, which have increased by 1893%
or by comparing the line count, which have increased by 1143%

while also having decrased the amount of performance impactful NBT lookups and @e selectors per file by 64%

General

      • it can be configured to make the grave skulls behave like normal skulls upon mining, they have to be blown up using the 2x2x2 tnt shape explosion to blow them into Skull Dust

      • behaves like obsidian
        • can't be broken other than with a diamond pickaxe
        • is immune to explosions
    • Particle GeneratorWonderful particles
      • an observer needs to be empowered using a Sapphire gem, the Sapphire gem will be dropped if the Patricle Generator is broken
    • feature-compatibile to torchout: empowering a torch with a Sapphire gem will create a never extinguishing torch, the Sapphire gem will be dropped if the torch is broken

  • smokesignal updated (formerly known as signalfire)
    • the duration will be multiplied by the amount of haybale blocks under the campfire (max. 3)
  • introducing smartvillage
    • give villages names by naming a Iron Golem closest to the bell then ringing the bell
    • upon approach into a village...
      • the status of the village will be displayedWelcome to the \
      • players will be put into adventure mode. NO RAIDING!

    • build up standing by protecting them from raids or trading with them
    • be careful if you want to raid them, they might hit back
  • introducing torchout
    • torches and campfires burn out after a defined while (can be configured)
      • (re-)ignite torches using flint and steela burned out torch
      • fuel campfires by dropping logs onto them

    • shoot torch arrows in order to place torches without having to go there (hold a torch in your offhand while shooting)
      • flame arrows (and entities) light up torches and campfires
  • introducing usefulender
    • ender pearls won't deal damage
      • if they're thrown at a dragon egg, the player will be teleported someplace far away
      • they don't need to be thrown either, just hold them in your offhand and shoot with a (cross)bow
  • introducing ventilators
    • ventilators push entities in certain directionsactive and inactive ventilators
      * a Batwing dropped by bats will be needed to empower an observer into a ventilator by righclicking onto it * greatly affects arrows and ender pearls
  • witchtrading updated
    • actually made functional
    • approach while holding then trading poisonous potatoes with witches

Not part of the Hurtful Pack:

  • introducing spectatorrevive
    • as a spectator fly into a dropped golden apple to revive into survival mode
    • useful for hardcore servers.
  • introducing voiddimension
    • not made for the consumer, feel free to use it as a developer
    • a dimension set in the end dimension inter connected with the overworld
      • travelling 1 block in the Void equals to travelling 16 blocks in the overworld
  • introducing worseoldpvp
    • reintroduces the 1.8 combat mechanicssword-blocking
