Pending Tasks

The purpose of this page is to document any tasks that need doing on a specific date or time. A typical pending task might be a small piece of mid-cycle work to finalise the installation & commissioning of a device on an instrument. Use the link below to add and view pending tasks. When the task is done, it can be removed from the board.

Notes:

Pending tasks are now listed in a Kanban board here: https://github.com/ISISComputingGroup/IBEX/projects/8

Click on + to create a note in the appropriate column, type in a very simple note with the basic information (see table below for examples) using the format below.

  1. The date is only needed if the task cannot be put into a one of the pre-defined columns on the right hand side of the board.
  2. The URL to the ticket is not essential (if there is none relevant but should be supplied if available and more than one ticket URL can be listed.
  3. Unless required specifically, just leave the URL annotation as [], the ticket will be picked up automatically.

So for example, the third job in the examples listed below would look like this in the note:

The fourth example in the table would be put in as a note like this (no date as this goes in the "Shutdown" Column)

Take Galil MOXA to electronics to get PSU replaced (who?)

Note: For ordinary IBEX tickets which can be fitted into a pre-defined column, it is sufficient to just put the ticket into the project and move to the correct column. This can be done directly from the ticket by clicking the "Projects" menu and selecting the "Pending Tasks" project. It is a good idea to pre-assign someone to the ticket in this case (although the opener of the ticket is shown).
