3 R script

This folder contains R code used to connect the crops used (consumed or produced) national and then regional diets and agricultural production systems with their geographic historical origins (="primary regions of diversity"). Each sub-folder corresponds to step by step process.

The content of this folder as follow:

_food_supplies: it contains the main inputs for doing an interchange analysis and creates the inputs needed to do the "interdependence" analysis for food supplies. Its measurements are calories, fat, food weight and protein.

_interactive: its content allows the creation of the JSON file used by web_app using the outputs of _food_supplies and _production_systems to show the relation between regions in terms of each measurement.

_production_systems: it contains the main inputs for doing an interchange analysis and create the inputs needed to do the "interdependence" analysis for agricultural production systems. Its measurements are harvested area, production quantity and production value.
