release notes:
https://github.com/z-classic/zclassic/blob/dev/doc/release-notes/release-notes-1.1.1.md
known issues:
- Bionic build is a MUST - cross-compiling for windows build on xenial host causes unnecessary CPU load and silently fails on Private Transactions (PThreads bug in MinGW32, et al.) zcash#3172 (comment), #188
- wallet tweaks necessary - blbradley/zcash-swing-wallet-ui#9
scheduled protocol upgrades:
2018-11-06 => v1.1.1 Overwinter activation
2018-12-06 => v2.0.1 Sapling activation
Upgrade to Version 1.0.14

This will be the last regular update before the mandatory network upgrade to Version 1.1.1 Overwinter. The file zclassic-v1.0.14-win.zip
is a re-upload of the Windows release binaries that conforms to a standard directory layout discussed here: #183. This will enable Zclassic merchant adoption through payment systems like BtcPay, an entirely free and open-source, non-custodial cryptocurrency payment processor and invoicing system created by the community and recently featured in the news as an alternative to centralized proprietary payment systems.

Updated zclassic.conf (2/13/2018)
Please remember to set a custom 'rpcpassword', for your security!
If you are using an old version of our Eleos Wallet, which supports both shielded and transparent transactions, you may need this. An up-to-date list of addnodes is available at https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/ZCL.
Instructions: This file contains the latest 'addnode=' entries. Go to your C:/Users/Your-Username/AppData/roaming/ZClassic folder, and replace the list of addnodes with the ones in this file.
We recommend that everyone begin migrating to the Electrum Wallet - you won't need to do any of this. It is in beta because it cannot send shielded transactions (T->Z, Z->Z) yet, but works flawlessly for transparent transactions (T->T, Z->T):

ZClassic Windows Wallet 1.1
To make this work, you need to download zclassic.conf and zclassic_winv1.0.5_installer.exe. You should probably also download the instructions...
Please make sure you have Java installed and enabled: https://java.com/en/download/
The executable is from release 1.0.5. The config file made by the installer does not have enough nodes so I included a better config file here. This config file will be updated daily from now on. Please download, change username+password and place this file in C:\Users\Your-Username\AppData\Roaming\Zclassic\
We need more people to become full nodes to help with connectivity issues. To do so, set your router firewall to open port 8133. It is also best to set a static IP. Thanks!
