extfat utils is a utility to manipulate extfat images.

Command Options:

-i xxx where xxx is the input file name [This is optional, but -i test.image is implied if not specified] -o xxx where xxx is the output file name [This is optional, inputFile will be used if not specified] -c triggers the copying of input to output (This is optional) -m use mmap for file access. [implied if -f and -m not specified] -f use fread for file access -v verify exfat image -h is this help message -d print root directory structure -x xxx where xxx is the file to be extracted

Example Invocations:

extfat -c -i inputFile.image -o outputFile.image extfat -c -f -i inputFile.image -o outputFile.image extfat -v -f -i inputFile.image extfat -v -i inputFile.image extfat -d -i inputFile.image extfat -x extractFile.image -i inputFile.image -o outputFile.image

Build Process

% make clean
% make

To run the tests
% make tests

Examples

There is a directory of examples. They are compiled by default using the makefile Before you can run the example programs, you need to have an file image.

% bash /examples/create_image.bash
% ./examples/fread
% ./examples/mmap

Misc notes, eventually delete.

dd if=/dev/zero of=zzz count=1 bs=1G
yum install -y exfat-utils fuse fuse-exfat
losetup /dev/loop0 diskimage 
mount /dev/loop0 /mnt
umount /mnt
