cpc-people

This WordPress plugin connects to an external MySQL user database to display contact information, office locations, and photos. It was developed for internal use by the Carolina Population Center.

Features

Mugboard

  • Shortcode that displays photos and contact information for all users with a responsive design
  • Search by name, filter by department/affiliation

Widgets

  • Greetings and Farewells lists users who have joined or departed in the past two weeks
  • Faces of CPC displays a random CPC affiliate with name and contact information

Installation

  1. Upload the entire cpc-people folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Configure MySQL database credentials in plugin options
