CATE

CATE_about

CATE stands for CUDA Accelerated Testing of Evolution.

CATE is a fast and scalable CUDA implementation that conducts highly parallelized evolutionary tests on large-scale genomic data. It is written in the programming languages of C, C++, and NVIDIA's CUDA and has been validated via the 1000 Genomes Project, 1001 Genomes Project, and GISAID COVID-19 datasets.

CATE now comes with Apollo. A powerful within-host viral simulator that spans across five hierarchies from population-level dynamics to viral genomes. Based on CATE's foundation, Apollo benefits from all the large-scale parallel processing advantages the CATE architecture provides.

CATE and its encompassing products have been developed at the University of Calgary's Long Lab.
