Description

This module install and configure the enterprise class bareos backup solution. It could be used for all three components, the client, the server and the storage side.

What bareos affects

• The module install packages based on usage type.
• The module configure the services based on usage type.
• The module start the necessary services based on usage type.
• The module install and configure MySQL if used as backup server.

No additional actions needed to use this module.

Beginning with bareos

This module could be used to install and configure three components needed to perform distributed backups.

Usage

This module can install the:

• bareos director
• bareos storage daemon
• bareos file daemon

Specify if file daemon components should be installed Default value is false

Limitations

This module has been built on and tested against Puppet 4.0 and higher.

The module has been tested on:

• CentOS Linux 7
• Debian 8
• Debian 7

Testing on other platforms has been light and cannot be guaranteed.

This module does currently only support a limited set of distributions and need to be reworked for other distributions as well.
