I'm an RC hobby and a drone enthusiast and I'm also a software engineering. Since 2014-s I'm a contributor of Cleanflight, Betaflight and now I'm the maintainer and one of the core developers of INAV. I have contributed to a few other open-source projects as well. If my memory serves me well, one of my patches to the Linux kernel made it to the mainline as well. It's incredible how open-source is driving the hobby and the industry, and I'm proud to be the part of it.
