The principle of the game is rather simple. There is always one player who has to draw something. The rest of the players has to guess the word, that is being drawn. A game (lobby) always consists of multiple players that play multiple rounds. A round is over when every player in the lobby has drawn once. The player that draws changes every time the drawing time is up or all players have correctly guessed the word.
Guessing works by simply typing your guess into the chat. If you guess is incorrect, it will be sent as a normal message and other players will be able to see it. If your guess is close, the game will tell you that you almost got it, but other players will still see your guess. If you have correctly guessed the word, other players won't be able to see your correct guess. After correctly guessing the word, all following message can't be seen by anyone who still guesses. Only players that have already guessed the word or the player that is drawing will be able to see your messages. However, you will still be able to see all messages.
As soon as it is your turn to draw, you are asked to chose one of three words. After selecting a word, you can start drawing. In order to draw, simply hold down the left button of your mouse and move your mouse. By default the smallest pencil size is chosen, but you can chose a different pencil size at any time by clicking one of the pencil size buttons:
As for the color of the pencil, black is chosen by default, but you can change it by either hitting on of the pre-defined color buttons:
or clicking the color-picker:
If you have made a big mistake in your drawing, you can't undo your changes, but you can clear the whole canvas by hitting the trashcan button:
