PS Move and Navigation Controller United

HipsterSloth edited this page Mar 29, 2017 · 9 revisions

Space reserved for information, accessories and mods to Unite the PS Move and Navigation Controller.

So you can have the buttons and analog sticks from the Navigation Controller and the Sensors of the Move in the same hand.

Let's start:

The First Prototype Peripheral that i have know, back in 2012, was made by Playhouse Entertainment.

DualPlay for PS Move

Here is a intro video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hykjEBYzCnE

unfortunately the project faild on DualPlay Indiegogo

So i don't know if are they giong to carry on the project and sell it. ( I hope so, because now it would be much more usefull than it was in 2012).

If someone get the 3D print project and share we could print it all over the world.

MODS DIY

The first DIY prototype I saw on internet was on found in a Spanish language forum about VR:

My DIY:

I drew a diagram with my own idea, so people could make it at home with things they could have around. The basis is to hang the PS Move on the Navigation Controller, with popsicle Sticks ( you can use small pieces of wood, pens, or any material you could joint and turn it into a support)

The project is the simplest possível, the advantage in my opinion is that the Bulb light gets less covered possible.

Here some tool tricks: TAPE and VELCRO adhesive so you can dock and undock them.

Cable Tie Chimera

Minimum requirement per controller pair:

  • Four hook and loop cable ties

Advantages:

  • Simplicity
  • Cheap
  • Easy to disassemble for charging

Disadvantages:

  • Hooks can snag on things
  • Some wiggle may remain
  • Loops may wear out

Method:

  1. Individually wrap the controllers in a tie with the loops side touching the controllers:

  2. Secure the controllers together using a tie on the front and back: Front Back

  3. Hold the controllers and ensure the connection is secure enough: Held front Held back

For more stability if desired a second row of ties can be used.
