This branch release of MPAS v2.0 contain an initial version of the MPAS-Atmosphere semi-implicit solver, described in Sandbach et al. ("A semi-implicit version of the MPAS-atmosphere dynamical core", accepted to Monthly Weather Review, June 2015).
In order to run the semi-implicit solver, special multi-grid mesh files are required. Several coarse, quasi-uniform meshes are provided in the download links below.
