4_0 Security Features

This section will describe the most important security features that are part of the NFS protocol itself or available on the most common server implementations. In this section we will focus on the Linux terminology, but most server implementations provide similar features. On Linux, all of these settings can be configured as options in the /etc/exports file, other servers have additional configuration files for some of these settings.
