GraftM is software for rapid, gene-centric analysis of sequence data. GraftM was initially targeted toward the analysis of short sequence data (100 - 200 bp) but can be applied to assemblies, metatranscriptomes, and metaproteomes as well.
If you just want to know how to get a basic run going, an impatient peoples guide is where you want to go. If you're totally new to GraftM, you may be interested in an introduction to the way GraftM works or a little info on GraftM Packages. But for a real how-to guide on GraftM and its options, go here. When you plan on taking a look at the data, it may be worth reading these notes on further analysis.
You may also be interested in creating their own GraftM packages. This can be managed using graftM create.
