Notes

1. review of previous meeting actions

  • @justb4 give access to demo server to @tomkralidis - DONE - @tomkralidis still to test
  • @justb4 create endpoints on demo.pygeoapi.io for student to demo - Q: still needed? @jorgejesus : Good question, they can be shown in conference presentations; @tomkralidis : who can Just work with to setup? @jorgejesus : Just can work with me or francesco for the demos
  • @jorgejesus to produce code style wiki page for PSC review - remain
  • @francbartoli to open issue on code style, pyproject.toml - remain

2. OGC API - Processes Manager Records implementation

@tomkralidis : This is a long standing branch from June 2019 and big thanks to @alpha-beta-soup for keeping up to date. With this week’s OSGeo virtual sprint I am really hoping to deeper test the branch and push to master.

3. HTML/UI strategy

  • @tomkralidis : this is a long standing discussion which needs all of the PSC present.
  • @jorgejesus : Yes, @pvgenuchten has also some ideas on it
  • @tomkralidis : the work by @kngai has made it easy to skin a pygeoapi HTML theme.
  • @justb4 : a sensible default with hooks to extend/modify is always good.
  • @pvgenuchten : +1 for basic html + extension points, should we link to some remote repo's having nice pygeoapi skins (probably better to decide once the skins are being made available)

Conclusion: We should reconvene (on this issue) it when all of PSC is present.

4. Python 2 support and dev style adoption

Proposal: Drop all python 2 support : all agree

Also focus on additional 3.8, 3.9 support. 3.8 is default with some latest Debian/Ubuntu like Focal 20.4.

5. 0.8 release, 0.9 milestones

6. 1.0 roadmap

@tomkralidis : like to get OAMaps and OARecords in for a 1.0 - @all agree

@tomkralidis : : have branches for OARec and OAMaps but waiting on the specs to mature some

7. Events

8. OSGeoLive application progress

  • @kalxas added pygeoapi installer in latest OSGeoLive 14.0 alpha2 - hoping to do finalize at the code sprint this week #218
