Correction of Economic Loss and GMF Data for Specific Events
Changes and Fixes:
Economic Loss Correction
Event: Africa (Boumerdes 2003)
Issue: The economic loss reported by the USGS ranges between 600 million and 5 billion U.S. dollars, but it was incorrectly recorded in the dataset as 600,000,000–50,000,000 (50 million instead of 5 billion).
Fix: Updated the respective columns to reflect the correct range.
Revised PGA Selection and GMF for Iranian Events
Events: Tabas (1978), Manjil-Rudbar (1990), Golestan (1997), Qayen (1997)
Issue: The maximum PGA for certain recording stations was not selected appropriately.
Fix: Reviewed and modified all associated recording station files. Reproduced the Ground Motion Files (GMF) to ensure accuracy.
