I see it's already been merged, but I am not a huge fan, since "GDPR compliance" is not the only thing we are going for here. I see what we're doing here, but this answer ignores e.g. support/on-prem and thus "do whatever you want" scenarios.

Could you suggest how to incorporate "do whatever you want" scenarios?
