- Open the Command Palette: Use
Ctrl+Shift+P
(orCmd+Shift+P
on Mac) to bring up the Command Palette. - Type "Add a License": Just start typing and select the command when it appears.
Follow the prompts to select and add a license.
Easy License Integration: Choose from a comprehensive list of licenses provided via the GitHub License API and add them directly to your project root with just a few clicks.
Simplify Your Workflow: No need to manually create and copy license texts. "License-pilot" does the heavy lifting for you, so you can stay focused on your work.
Prompts for file overwrite: If a license file already exists in your project, "license-pilot" will prompt you to confirm before overwriting it.
Simply search for "License Pilot" in your VSCode Extensions view or the VSCode Marketplace and click Install. You can also download the extension from the VSCode Marketplace.
License-Pilot is straightforward with no extra dependencies. Just install and start using!
License-Pilot works out of the box and does not require any additional settings.
