Explore the Azure OpenAI Service

The goal of this 45-minute lab is to:

• Understand the capabilities of Azure OpenAI Service
• Learn how to use and customize natural language generative AI models like GPT-3.5 and ChatGPT
• Learn the difference between Fine-Tuning, Prompt Engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation.

Pre-requisites

You will need an Azure Account to complete this lab. If you do not have an Azure Account, you can create one for free here.

You will also need to apply to the Azure OpenAI Service if you do not already have access. Click here to request access to Azure OpenAI service.

Once you have completed the Setup step, you can skip ahead to any of the other sections:

1. Setup. Create and deploy the Azure OpenAI resource in the Azure Portal
2. Explore Models. Understand the natural language models available in Azure OpenAI Service.
3. Completions. Understand and experiment with prompts and completions.
4. Using Your Data. Learn about how to use your own data in Azure OpenAI.
5. DALL-E. Learn how to use DALL-E.
6. PE vs FT vs RAG. Understand the difference between Prompt Engineering, Fine-Tuning, and Retrevial Augmented Generation (RAG).
