data from Ceta-D to SMV format. This helps them out so they don't need to install the plugin FormatSMVCetaD_TUI.py. Unless they have "CETAD" in an appropriate place in the header though, they will have to set an environment variable, FORCE_SMV_AS_CETAD, to activate the class

3DED/MicroED users with a ThermoFisher Ceta-D camera can process their data directly in MRC format. Nevertheless, many users convert to SMV to allow processing by other software (such as XDS). This Format class helps that use case by setting appropriate an unpolarised beam with an electron probe and suitable gain, trusted range and other details for the detector. This use case was previously handled with a plugin , but it seems common enough that moving this to dxtbx proper would be helpful (note also #304,
dxtbx.install_format -udoes not work on Windows)
