The exe turns into a .old.exe file and does nothing after that (version 0.6). This seems to be the issue for multiple users as the issue has been made on their github.

Older versions aren't recommended as they just won't work on 1.37.2 and above at all, they will just fail to load mods every single time. As for the .old.exe, that happens when they update the game I believe, and this wasn't the issue with me after I tried loading 0.0.6 multiple times. Would probably word it then as "BeatSaberModManager may not load for some users, so be aware of this". And there are a few spelling errors that should be fixed.

I now have word that this was fixed in 0.0.7, you will have to update BSMM manually however. https://github.com/affederaffe/BeatSaberModManager/actions/runs/10752805030
