Greenway 15/04/2011. Released under GPL V3 http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html "Python for S60" is copyright 2004-2009 Nokia Corporation, Symbian is a trademark of the Symbian Foundation Ltd. SCAMP is a Python script for Symbian Series 60 smartphones that draws a variety of cellular automata. It works on S60 3rd and 5th editions, and tollerably well on on Symbian^3. To use it, just copy scamp.py and scampdocs to the memory card or flash drive of your phone, preferably in the Python directory. Run scamp.py from the PythonScript shell. A .sis installation file can be built as follows: 1) Create a directory called scamp and copy scamp.py into it as default.py. 2) Create a sub-directory called root and copy scampdocs into it. 3) To change the documentation edit scamp.u in scampdocs and run udo: udo --html -o scamp.html scamp.u scamp.u and scamp.ulh can then be removed. 4) The .sis file is created using ensymble.py in the Python for S60 distribution. Come out of the scamp directory and execute: python2.5 ensymble.py py2sis --appname=SCAMP --icon=scamp.svg --version=15.4.11 --heapsize=512K,8M --extrasdir=root scamp 5) The .sis file can be merged with the Python runtime: python2.5 ensymble.py mergesis scamp_v15_4_11.sis Python_2.0.0.sis scamp_full_fat_v15_4_11.sis Python for Series 60 is available at: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/pys60 UDO is available as a Debian package (http://www.debian.org/) or at: http://www.udo-open-source.org/
