@weited @GermanRodrickson @akashisama FYI is the script you asked for for the ocean current website. There is a unittest file, and the main argo_oceancurrent.py which should be run as a cronjob on the webapp machine

@akashisama not sure if you want to create a venv for this script. But now I guess it's in your hands?

Best practice would be to create a venv but I'm not going to bother, given that

  1. This is a temporary project
  2. The code doesn't use any custom libraries
  3. We're hoping to eliminate the webapp box
  4. Chef is legacy and a pain to manage

So I'll just put up a PR to create a cron job
