Obviously, the Commission knows this is a problem; otherwise, they would've just released the info in Patrick's FOIA. And frankly, as Chives has said, it's really more of an "open secret" what's happening here.
I don't want to rub salt in the wound too much here, especially since we're going to have some fast movement on the crypto work as soon as Reps lead the Commission. But still, I'd like to establish authority and cite a revealing case of unknown internal policies.
