A network data packet capture (PCAP)file contains network data that can be used to analyze the network structure, operating systems, and other characteristics, such as network traffic and data packets. An automated approach is needed to extract and categorize PCAP data using artificial intelligence and machine learning assistance to perform rapid data detection, collection, classification, identification/system association, source localization for use in military operations prediction. A data science approach to PCAP data processing needs to be developed, including selection of tools to help address this problem.
The directory structure in this GitHub is to allow the project to have all its resources self-contained. Open Source software should not just be a repository of code. There are a number of directories to help you and others who will follow in your footsteps. It'll also allow the Linux Foundation OMP Mentorship program to keep track of your project and get a better understanding of the problems you encountered during the development of this project.
