Requesting a CMU Autolab Course
Here's how to get started with your CMU Autolab course:
Step 1: Request your Autolab course. Send mail to [email protected]
. Please include the course number in the SUBJECT line, and the course name, semester, your Andrew ID, and the Andrew IDs of other instructors or TAs (optional, since you can add them later yourself) in the BODY.
If you need special software (different from the CMU Andrew machines) installed on your autograding images, please include that in your email as well.
Step 2: Wait for email response. The facilities staff will create an Autolab-enabled course directory in AFS, e.g., /afs/cs/academic/class/15213-f16/autolab
, add your course to Autolab, and send you a confirmation email.
Step 3: Configure your course.
Configure your course by visiting https://autolab.andrew.cmu.edu
. There you can edit your course settings, upload your roster using the S3 CSV roster file, create accounts for your TAs, and create assessments. See the Guide for Instructors for general info about Autolab, and the Guide for Lab Authors for details about creating and installing autograded labs.
Any questions? Please send email to [email protected]
See something wrong or out of date? Did our wording trip you up? Bad documentation sucks for everyone--be sure to let us know if there's something out of place!
