This is the project for CSEE 4840, Spring 2024.
This project is to create a Gomoku game. This includes the basic game logic, AI algorithms, as well as a user-friendly interface that integrates with hardware components.
To build hardware component:
cd gomoku-hw
# Under gomoku-hw directory
make dtb
make rbf
To copy the generated files to your FPGA board:
On FPGA board, run
# If /mnt not created
mkdir /mnt
mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt
# Set up network
ifup eth0
On host machine, run
# Copy files, need sshd installed on FPGA board
scp output/soc_system.rbf output/soc_system.sof soc_system.dtb <user>@<board_ip>:/mnt
You may need to reboot your FPGA after copy
# On FPGA board
reboot
To build software component
cd gomoku-sw
# Under gomoku-hw directory
# To build game and kernel module
make
# To build only game
make game
To run Gomoku game on FPGA board
# Under gomoku-hw directory
# Install kernel module
insmod vga_kmod/vga_gomoku.ko
# Run the game
./alphaBetaGomoku
To simply test the game logic and AI function, switch to branch tsuki
To play in the terminal
change Makefile to:
# Player vs AI
SOURCES = ../src/gomoku.cpp ../src/players.cpp gomokuAI.cpp pve.cpp
# or
SOURCES = ../src/gomoku.cpp ../src/players.cpp gomokuAI.cpp evp.cpp
# or
# Player vs Player
SOURCES = ../src/gomoku.cpp ../src/players.cpp gomokuAI.cpp pve.cpp
To play with dummy GUI
, use the default Makefile.
cd /alpha-beta, run
./run.sh
And begin to have fun.
Note the '@' means the last move (played by any player).
