Default behavior:

• You cannot hurt your own pets. The only way to kill them is to push them into lava, drop anvil, etc.

Configuration

The config file can be found in config folder inside your Minecraft instance director and is called the_loved_ones.json5. This is just a normal text file that can be edited using any text editor.

Below you can read what different options change

petsDamagePVP:

• When set to true pets CAN be hurt by other players on servers WITH PvP (Enabled by default on most servers) mode.
• true be default

petsDamageNoPVP:

• When set to true pets CAN be hurt by other players on servers WITHOUT PvP mode.
• false by default

petsDamageOnLAN:

• When set to true other players CAN hurt your pet in Lan Party Mode.
• false by default
