A basic modding setup for programming in Haxe. In case you want to use Haxe to write your Rock Bottom mod instead of Java, you can easily do so using this handy repository. Just follow the instructions below to get set up. If you need a reference implementation, you can check out NARB.
Note: You should probably not use this. It's kind of a weird thing to do.
- Follow the Haxe install tutorial for Java
- Create a
/lib
folder and put a build of Rock Bottom namedRockBottom.jar
into it - Edit the main class and assets path to have your mod's actual name and description
- To build the mod, simply run
build.sh
(notbuild.hxml
)- If you're on Windows, you can use Git Bash which ships with Git.
- If you're using Visual Studio Code, you can set its Terminal to use Git Bash (or regular Bash on Linux) in your settings and run the predefined
Build
task which is also set as default (allowing you to run it usingCtrl+Shift+B
)
