CMECS Catalog Files and Releases Links

New versions of the CMECS Catalog are released when changes (as described in the About Versions and Releases section of this Wiki) are approved and adopted by the CMECS Implementation Group.

Version releases contain the CMECS classification at that point in time. Files include the CMECS Catalog cmecs.owl file, and CSV, XLXS, PDF and Markdown formats.

These files are included in the zip files for each release, as well as in the respective directory folders for each release in this GitHub. Links are provided below.

Release Notes

Contains updates to the Substrate Component units and framework, additional Modifier units. New attributes (annotations) were also added to each unit.

The Interim Materials- Substrate Component Approved Changes directory contains files and documentation for the Substrate Component Work Group final materials which are the source for the Substrate Component changes adopted in this release.

Release Notes

The CMECS units as published in FGDC-STD-018-2012.

• The CMECS Catalog Microsoft Access database content was exported to .csv.
• Component and Unit Codes for each unit were added to the .csv files (see also the CMECS Coding System Approach document), and minor editorial corrections were made.
• The .csv files were imported into the Protege Desktop application using the Cellfie plug-in and saved in the cmecs.owl ontology file.
