TEOTIL is a simple, export-coefficient-based model for estimating riverine fluxes. The previous version of the model, TEOTIL2, is documented here.
During autumn 2021, NIVA and NIBIO undertook a review of the JOVAest-TEOTIL modelling workflow that has been used for many years to simulate annual riverine fluxes in Norway. The review was funded by Miljødirektoratet and the final report provides a detailed description of the existing methodology, together with recommendations for updates and improvements.
During 2022, Miljødirektoratet will fund development of the non-agricultural components of TEOTIL (by NIVA), and in 2023 Miljødirektoratet and Landbruksdirektoratet are expected to jointly fund development of the agricultural modelling aspects (involving both NIVA and NIBIO).
This repository contains code, data and documentation for the new version of TEOTIL.
Development work during 2022 will begin in June and finish by December 1st.
The project budget for 2022 is 1.5 MNOK and the list of development tasks to be completed is here (also available as a PDF here). For full details regarding the proposed work, please see NIVA Report 7726-2022
For specific issues relating to the code (e.g. bugs, feature requests, or anything requiring a well-defined action or resolution) please use the issue tracker. For more general discussion (comments, broader questions, ideas etc.) please use the discussions board.
The aim is to keep development and decision-making related to this project organised in one place (and to reduce e-mail traffic where possible). However, please keep in mind that all issues and discussion threads are publicly available online, so use Teams and e-mail too, where necessary.
The NIVA project code for development work during 2022 is O-220136.
