About The Pull Request

Adds a new original map to the game; MonkeDome

Mirrors alot of changes from yogstation13/Yogstation#14802
but with balancing and code changes to make work on monke

Code and Feature Requests

  • Some sort of emergency “ambulance” type pod or specialized roller beds for medics to carry someone through the outside that provides air to the patient. Kinda like goon’s port-a-medbay but no teleporting
  • Hostile fauna, small variety. Small critters like goon’s trench critters. Monkedome fauna #746
  • Non-hostile fauna. Small flittering things and hopping things. lizards, birds, weird little bugs. it's an alien planet so they can be as creative as you want Monkedome fauna #746
  • obj/structure/fence version that spawns with holes in it or ivy on it randomly
  • monkey variant that breathes the outside mix of air and maybe normal air mix too?
  • Procgen terrain for outside the station. Terrain would also generate fauna. Two "difficulty levels" of procgen terrain would be needed. Inside the perimeter fence ("easy") would spawn less obstacles such as rocks or trees and less hostile fauna. Outside the perimeter fence ("hard") should be wild and spawn plenty of hostile fauna, lots of obstacles and such.
  • Zlevel crossing, horizontally. Going off the map edges should take you to the mining zlevel on the opposite side. Go off left side of station zlevel and end up on right side of mining.
  • Mining zlevel stuff. Instead of "go further north for more difficulty" like lavaland difficulty should increase the closer to the center you get. Not sure what code needed for this.
  • Outdoor power cables, should be slightly more difficult to cut than standard cables. Either requiring a second action or an action bar with timer.

Sprite requests

  • Hostile fauna, small variety. Angry birds and lizards or similar alien creatures. Small, pokes yer eyes out, very low hp. Monkedome fauna #746
  • Hostile fauna, large variety like reskinned goliaths or similar. Megafauna already exist in code for the most part but we could probably use one or two more of those Monkedome fauna #746
  • Non-hostile fauna. Birds and lizards and other weird alien creatures. Monkedome fauna #746
  • Ivy to grow on fences AND ivy to grow on outside plating
  • Smooth stone path sprites. Instead of boring square paths have smoothing applied to sprite of stone path to mix with the grass outside
  • Reskinned explorer's suit (mining suit, not hardsuit) in color schemes for botany (most important), general use (middle importance), and security scheme (least important).
  • Outdoor power cable. Should be a little thicker and beefier than standard power cable
