Ideas for Improvements

Looking beyond v1.0 of the notebooks, what features or content could we look at adding to the notebooks?

• ipython widgets could be used to add some GUI controls for interacting with the data. See https://ipywidgets.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html
• ... or look at using hvPlot, GeoViews, HoloViews to integrate Bokeh like interaction
• Split into more than 4 workbooks. Compartmentalise better. RA to think about
• Ask more questions about what the students are doing. Make the workbooks more engaging. Can we have an answer check within the workbooks?
• Think about python3 issues
• install script
• custom CORDEX data specific to the location of course

• Need new short presentation to introduce jupyter notebooks
• Move shell command stuff in Worksheet 1 into a new Worksheet 1, and put intro iris stuff in worksheet 1 into new worksheet 2
