Essences

One of the important parts of every dimlet is the essence. This is something that can never be recovered from another dimlet. i.e. if you extract a dimlet you will never get an essence block or item so you will always have to create this yourselves.

The following types of essence are currently supported by the Dimlet Workbench:

• Biome Absorber: place this block in a biome and let it absorb the essence of that biome. It does not alter the biome in any way.
• Material Absorber: place this block on top of the material for which you want to make a dimlet. It will consume all blocks connected to that and absorb it. You need 128 blocks of the right material to get a full essence (100%). You can break the absorber and place it elsewhere to resume absorbing more materials. Note that it is not possible to get the materials back out of the absorber. You can also clear the absorber (reset it to 0) by just placing it in the crafting grid. Note that this only works on materials for which there is a dimlet.
• Liquid Absorber: this works similarly to the material absorber. Just place it on top of the liquid you want to absorb.
• Time Absorber: give this block a redstone signal at the right time to absorb a bit of time. Don't give a redstone signal at the wrong time or it will go back again. Note that there is also a timeout so you will not be able to completely fill the time absorber in a single day/night.
• Syringe: with the syringe you can absorb mov essence. Just attack the mob with this syringe a few times to get it to 100%. This only works with mobs for which there are dimlets in the game.
• Peace essence: this special item is specifically for the peaceful dimlet. Crafting this item requires nine full syringes of several types of mobs.
• Efficiency essence: this special item is specifically for the efficiency dimlet. This requires a diamond pickaxe enchanted with only efficiency 3 and a nether star.
• Mediocre efficiency essence: this special item is specifically for the mediocre efficiency dimlet. This requires an iron pickaxe enchanted with efficiency 2 and a ghast tear.
