You didn't download all regions of SaltySD. It downloads in this order; JPN, USA, and EU. Also be sure that the correct slot is loaded. Be patient.
If all fails, backup your save using a Save Manager such as JKSM and delete the save file. Boot into Smash 4.
Backup your save of Smash and delete it. Boot into the game.
Another cause could be corrupted files in /ui/ or /sound/ folders.
