Tutorial written for the GeoScripting course taught at Wageningen University that explains how to work with Google Earth Engine using the Python API. Tutorial learning goals:

  • Understand the use of and the basics of implementation of object oriented programming
  • Be able to read and understand JavaScript documentation, in this tutorial used for implementing in Python
  • Learn how to work with Google Earth Engine in Python and execute raster analysis

The jupyter notebook and the resulting html (both called python-gee) are for development purposes. The index.Rmd and index.html are the tutorials meant for on the geoscripting website.
