Compatibility and MCS tracking updates
This release contains the following major updates:
- Updated various syntax and advection function to work with new version of Python packages (#79)
- Updated MCS movement calculations, including direction and speed filtering (#84)
- Added capability to track convective cells with composite (2D) reflectivity input (#86)
- Added new and updated existing analysis notebooks and plotting scripts
MCS tracking updates
This release contains the following major cumulative updates in the past several months:
- Added simplified robust MCS identification based on precipitation feature and example configs for DYAMOND data
- Added new MCS analysis notebooks and a gallery
- Updated Tb + radar3D MCS tracking codes to be more flexible with inputs
- Various bug fixes
Sub-minute tracking support
Added sub-minute tracking support on all feature tracking.
- The intermediate and final pixel-level mask files now have seconds in the filenames (e.g., yyyymmdd_hhmmss).
- Analysis and visualization codes have been updated to work with the new files.
- Added MCS tracking using collocated Tb + 3D radar reflectivity + precipitation.
- Added generic 2D feature tracking with two methods to define objects.
