  • fixed the macOS 14.4/14.5 Sonoma incompatibility. The sacd_extract terminates & exit with message:
    Failed to connect /libsacdread: Can't open x.x.x.x:2002 for reading. The cause was the odd behaviour of iconv (found in new libiconv of Sonoma 14.4/14.5) which result in malformed address used for newtork connection. This wasn't a bug in sacd_extract !!;
  • fixed bug of unrecognized long option `--select-track' (the missing long option was enherited from the master fork). The short version -t option was not affected;
  • fixed bug at printing the Album Catalog Number (was printing wrongly the Disc Catalog Number instead of Album Catalog Number). The metada from XML generated file is not affected by this bug;
  • fixed a logging bug (in the case of folder creation error when a buffer output_dir is freed to early).

  • fixed huge title album/disc bug (when lenght is bigger than 255 chars).
    Now each path components are created with lenght limit at 255 chars (Linux/macOS/Windows affected);
  • the size of input ISO file is now checked against corruption;
  • metadata xml file is created first.

  • minor bug fixed only when running in Windows cmd prompt and the output folder (-o or -y option) is not specified, getting error message 'Directory can't be created'. Now, by default, if the output folder is empty then will be set to the current directory (in Windows we must use absolute paths).

  • added UTF-16 encodings with BOM for ID3v2.3 tags;
  • added id3tag=3 option for creating DSF files with ID3V2.3 tags and string encodings ISO-8859-1 (ASCII);
    The ID3 tags will be created:
    • (id3tag=1) in ID3V2.3 version with full metadata. String encodings is UTF-16 with BOM (UCS-2);
    • (id3tag=2) in ID3V2.3 version with minimal medatadata*. String encodings is UTF-16 with BOM (UCS-2);
    • (id3tag=3) in ID3V2.3 version with full metadata. String encodings is ISO-8859-1 (ASCII);
    • (id3tag=4) in ID3V2.4 version with full metadata. String encodings is UTF-8;
    • (id3tag=5) in ID3V2.4 version with minimal metadata*. String encodings is UTF-8;
    • (id3tag=0) ID3tag will not be created (for testing and experimental purpose).
  • now the default format for ID3 tags will be ID3v2.4 format (with UTF-8 encodings).

Note: * minimal metadata contains only 4 elements: Track Title, Album Title, Artist Name and Track Number.

  • added id3tag=0 (or =1, =2, =4, =5) option. At DSF conversion the ID3 tags will be created:

    • (=1) in ID3V2.3 version with full metadata (Default) or with minimal medatadata* (=2);
    • (=4) in ID3V2.4 version with full metadata or with minimal medatadata* (=5);
    • if =0 then ID3tag will not be created (for testing and experimental purpose).

  • addedd logging=1 option :logging will be activated. All messages during execution of sacd_extract will be saved in 'logfile-sacd_extract.txt'.
