The current H4 daemon prototype uses a hack based on the first line of a data file to determine whether it is loading an HMM database or a dsqdata database. This should be converted to use the routines in Easel that do the full, approved, format detection.

Priority: medium, needs to be done before daemon considered complete, but not blocking other development.
