For each person in your pair, describe something you learned from your partner during this project LJ: It was great to learn from and get to work with Div, she is very methodical when it comes to debugging and ask great questions. Working through this project with her, really helped me solidify my knowledge of React and handling state and component building.
What was one area of React you gained more clarity on during this assignment? LJ: handling state and passing props around in a way to bubble information back up to app and React Router to simplify routing and component loading
Describe how you solved the problem of having lists of movies that look mostly the same but have different content Having the movie component render same in the same style for differing movie data retrieved from get requests.
Describe how you handled rentals with React Post request to rails backend for rental and rental returns.
Describe a DOM event your application handled Component loading via links and routes.
Did you use any functional stateless components? What for? Individual renderings like movie and customer. There was no need for them to be classes or state and we've learned they're better for overall app optimization.
Did you use any container components? What for? App to hold state.
Do you have any recommendations on how we could improve this project for the next cohort?
