First off, thank you! i've been dealing with the "official" plugin for years, trying to find work-around but your two bots solution is what i was looking for all this time. I Cant believe i missed it!
I've tested it it still works great. Only caveat i have is i can only present the switch as a switch, light or fan in HomeKit. Could it be possible to have an option to present the switch as a WindowCovering, Window ... etc? I'd rather not have to ask Siri to "turn off my windows".

I'll try to look into it myself, i've never worked with Homebridge plug-ins, but it doesn't seem very difficult. I think i just have to insert some of that:
