Pretty much having the same issue on my Firestick. Seems like less and less videos are playing than not for some users at least.

As of last evening, it takes a long time to load thumbnails, a long time to start video playback which only last a few seconds before stalling again. Standard YouTube app is fine. Most recent version.

I tried to reinstall smart tube beta and now I'm having the same issue as @duringleaves. Takes a long time to start playback, then within a few seconds it stalls. Standard Youtube app is fine for me as well

Not sure if it's related at all, or I'm just crazy but I switched my DNS servers from my ISP over to nextdns' and that magically solved all the issues?? But even when I was still using my ISP, smart tube was working fine on my Onn. 4K Pro on the same network, just not my shield. As of now, things seem to be totally back to good

Well, son of a gun. I changed to Googles DNS servers on my router and it's fine as well. Hmm... wonder what my ISP was up to...
