Alarm cant be stopped after switching to another app

Steps to reproduce

Set an alarm
Wait for it to go off
Use gestures to switch apps or go to home screen
Observe that you can't open the alarm to dismiss it

Expected behavior

There should be some way to dismiss the alarm without force quitting the app.

A notification button,
Opening the app from the homescreen,
Pressing power to snooze or volume down to dismiss (configurable, feature request)

Actual behavior

Must force stop the app to stop alarm noise
