USB option? #1
Comments
thiss seems too cost innifieciant to implement on a project like this. most softmodders do not want to hardmod their systems as they risk physically damaging their systems. thos idea is just an idea and it should stay that way unless you want to fork the project and try for yourself. |
I thought you couldn't get a 3DS capture board these days? that or they're prohibitively expensive. |
how would you connect if it is from the 3ds to the WiiU? I thought that it was only one-way to start the connection.... |
Would it make it better if we output the video over USB INTO the WiiU?
Wifi might lag too much.
Just like @xerpi did with the Playstation Vita. Video out over USB to the PC (or Raspberry Pi)

If you have video INPUT on the WiiU side, you can also play the Vita on a bigger screen without purchasing an expensive Playstation TV (PSTV)
Maybe Snickerstream and others don't use UVC video?
There was a UVC video mod for the 3DS (made by Katsukity, which has gone bankrupt unfortunately in 2019), but that involved a special board, see below and hardware mods which costed back in the day well over 400 euro

I really think this project also belongs on the 3DScapture forums, very active still to this day.
Another option is that we wait for Woozle64 DS fat and Old 3DS consolizers (but they have direct HDMI out)
