having problems installing kikit with kicad V7

Hi,
I just installed the nightly build for kicad V7.
from the KiCad 7 command prompt, I ran pip install kikit
after the installation it tried kikit --help, didn't work
I'm not interested in the gui from PCM, just thru the command prompt.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

You have to install the upstream version of KiKit. A release that supports v7 was not made yet (it waits for #487 begin resolved).

Right in the installation instructions: https://github.com/yaqwsx/KiKit/blob/master/doc/installation.md#installing-a-special-version-of-kikit (it's the first command). Since you already installed Kikit, it might be necessary to append -U to the command to force pip to upgrade KiKit.
