Dear all,

there is a wxMaxima FlatPak available. Unfortunately, it is not officially maintained like others (e.g. Firefox FlatPak, LibreOffice FlatPak or digiKam FlatPak).

I would appreciate that very much. I expect high security as well as an up-to-date release (including all used libraries and such) of an official package.

Thank you!

Because one could counter that the examples of officially maintained FlatPaks mentioned above are not community driven (i.e. a single persons or just a few ones) but maintained by an organisation resp. a company, here are other examples:

@zWhdmB5T Hello, regarding the security problems you mention, software sources should always point to the original repositories. Additionally, it is the user's responsibility to manage the permissions that are granted and as I understand it, it is Flatpack's policy to maintain the minimums.

Regarding the wxMaxima package, one of the developers has write permission to the repository. I just change the versions and check that the package is not broken before publishing it. If the development team prefers, I can leave that in their hands.
